J.M. FLORENTINO, ASSOCIATE

J.M. (Jon Morgan) Florentino is an Associate of Sklar Kirsh in the Corporate Department. J.M. has substantial experience with transactional matters for businesses of all sizes in a range of industries, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities, and corporate governance. Prior to joining Sklar Kirsh, J.M. practiced law in California’s capital city at Boutin Jones Inc., where he focused on advising business leaders on a variety of complex corporate matters.

A Sacramento native, J.M. earned his Juris Doctor from UC Davis School of Law and ranked in the top five percent of his class. During law school, J.M. was an articles editor for the UC Davis Law Review and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Troy L. Nunley of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.

After graduating magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Minor in English, J.M. entered the Peace Corps and served as an agriculture business advisor in Ghana, West Africa, where he worked with small business owners and managed various micro-finance and agriculture projects. In his free time, J.M. enjoys playing sports and rooting for the Sacramento Kings and Miami Dolphins.
